Carlos has turned his passion for animals into a profession. He was particularly interested in exotic species from an early age, which is why he trained as a vet. He gained his first practical experience in a veterinary clinic during his studies. With savings and a loan, he then ventured into self-employment together with a friend and opened his own clinic. Thanks to a good choice of location and strong demand, the business developed positively.
After 5 years, his wife also joined him: she gave up her job in finance, took over the administration and used her severance pay to buy a vehicle for the company. This meant that the team could now also offer home visits - a service that is particularly appreciated by customers in the high-end segment. At the same time, Carlos worked as a lecturer and invested the additional income in modern laboratory equipment. Over time, the company grew and more vets and assistants joined the team.
But not everything went smoothly: due to his involvement in a marriage program, Carlos was at times less present at the clinic and discovered that employees had been unfaithful. He found the solution in the family - his mother took over the cash register while he focused more on the core business again. Nevertheless, it became clear that he needed professional support in marketing and administration.
With the help of BPN, Carlos received valuable impulses: initial workshops and consultations have already given him new tools for financial control and business management. In the future, he plans to acquire his own premises, open an additional location for a higher market segment and expand his pet care services.
