Online donations are processed through RaiseNow and payment service providers such as Stripe, PayPal, PostFinance, and TWINT. When using these payment methods, the privacy policies and terms of service of the respective providers also apply.
Donation receipts are generated automatically. Donor data is managed in BSI CRM and used for donation processing, legal documentation, donor support, and relationship management, unless the donor objects.
BPN is ZEWO-certified. We use donor data to process donations, issue donation receipts, comply with legal obligations, and provide information about our activities and impact.
We do not sell, rent, or exchange donor information, nor do we share addresses with other organizations or third parties for their own advertising or fundraising purposes.

Depending on the payment method, online donations may be subject to transfer and processing fees. In accordance with ZEWO transparency guidelines, we provide information during the donation process about which payment method incurs the lowest costs for BPN, provided that this information is relevant to the specific donation process.
Note to donors: Direct bank transfers or QR invoices are generally the most cost-effective option for BPN. Other payment methods may be more convenient for you, but they may incur additional transaction fees depending on the provider.
We use BSI CRM to manage contacts, donor relationships, communication histories, donations, donation receipts, and related administrative processes.
We enter into appropriate data processing agreements with service providers who process personal data on our behalf, as necessary.

BPN uses n8n to automate internal processes and interfaces. The n8n instance is operated by BPN itself and hosted on a private server at Hetzner in Germany. The server is subject to European data protection law, in particular the GDPR. We do not use the n8n Cloud or transfer personal data to n8n as an external provider.
Personal data may be processed within these automated systems to the extent necessary for internal processes, notifications, interfaces, or data flows. Such processing is carried out under the control of BPN and within the scope of the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy.
When you apply for a position with us, we process the application data you provide in order to review and conduct the application process.
