Altantsetseg E.

Altantsetseg has a university degree in heating automation and combines technical expertise with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. A married mother of four, she discovered her passion for handmade felt products while on maternity leave. What began with the production of baby shoes developed into her own business in 2021—driven by creativity, craftsmanship, and the desire for professional fulfillment.

Today, she mainly produces felt shoes for women in all sizes and also offers models for men, children, and babies in small quantities to order. The collection comprises four designs that are characterized by timeless elegance and suitability for everyday wear. Each pair is embroidered by hand and can be worn both at the office and in your free time.

Project description

The most important raw material is handmade felt made from Mongolian sheep's wool, which Altantsetseg sources directly from partners in rural regions. She dyes and processes the material herself. The felt is dimensionally stable, easy to care for, and temperature-regulating, cooling when it is warm and warming when it is cold. In addition, the shoes can be easily cleaned in the washing machine.

Production is carefully carried out by hand, organized from home in collaboration with four skilled workers. This flexible model reduces operating costs and minimizes personnel risks. In the future, Altantsetseg plans to invest in machinery, her own workshop, and the protection of her designs as intellectual property in order to expand capacity and optimize processes.

Sales are conducted online and through a renowned store that is popular with tourists. Her vision is to develop the brand sustainably, significantly increase sales, and expand her entrepreneurial skills in a targeted manner. Participation in the BPN program supports her in managing her company professionally and with a focus on the future.
