Dalia studied business administration and specialized in human resources management. She worked in this field for 11 years. 43 years ago, her mother started the salt extraction business as a cooperative after the war. After a few years, however, she was able to take over part of the business herself. Dalia and her siblings have been familiar with salt production and distribution since they were children. Now they are taking over their mother's company together, with Dalia managing the administration.
With increasing responsibility and involvement, Dalia recognized the need to seek support from the BPN Foundation, despite her business studies. She reports that she didn't even have a vision before, but became motivated after working with BPN as she saw that her business could grow. BPN's business plan also enabled her to obtain a loan from a bank to construct a processing and storage building. In addition, Dalia recently analyzed her competition for the first time, identifying opportunities and challenges she would like to address.
She now also uses the BPN financial spreadsheet as an accounting tool. Dalia emphasizes that this tool helps her to derive realistic figures for analysis and to define concrete sales targets. In the future, Dalia is aiming to process a larger volume and also produce salt for direct consumption by people instead of supplying it exclusively to the industry.
