  • Parliament adopted amendments to the law on external migration, which, among other things, limit a visa-free stay for 60 days at a time in the time frame of 120 days. The visa is to be obtained directly upon entry at the airport.
  • President Dzhaparov was received in Ulanbaataar by his Mongolian counterpart Uchnaagiin Churelsuch for talks on bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, agriculture and tourism, among others. According to Churelsuch, Mongolia is interested in importing Kyrgyz agricultural products. According to Dzhaparov, the biggest problems for the development of bilateral trade are in the areas of transportation and logistics.
  • In January-August 2023, GDP growth of 3.3% was achieved. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan estimates that the inflation rate in Kyrgyzstan will still be 10-12% by the end of 2023 and that economic growth of 4% can be expected.
