Gastronomy companies

Martin M.

Martin has put his passion and years of experience in tourism and hospitality into building a family business in the hospitality industry. After more than a decade as a tour guide, he recognized the need for quality hospitality services and the opportunity for tourists to experience the local gastronomy. With his experience and network, he started his own hospitality business, which began as a café and developed into a restaurant, accommodation and a garden for outdoor events.

Located on the road that connects Rwanda to Uganda, Martin's business caters to tourists traveling between the two countries as well as the local middle class. The restaurant specializes in nutritious local dishes and helps guests to eat healthily and get in touch with the local culture.

Martin's commitment also extends to his family. His children have completed training in the hospitality industry in Uganda to acquire basic skills. His son, who trained as a barista, runs the company and trains employees and young professionals. His daughter manages the service department and his wife takes care of the expansion. They are a well-coordinated and well-coordinated family team that ensures a smooth succession.

Faced with challenges in people management, business process optimization and financial management, Martin sought support from BPN. Recognizing the importance of overcoming these hurdles to growth, Martin and his family attended their first BPN workshop as a united team to improve their business strategy. Due to high customer demand, Martin can also see himself integrating a bakery into his business to provide sufficient high quality snacks.

Martin and his family's tireless commitment and proactive approach to learning and growing provide a solid foundation for their continued success in the restaurant industry.
