Imara has a solid technical background - she studied systems engineering and gained a wide range of experience in reception, warehouse management and production planning in a large dairy factory from 2009. She discovered her passion for the confectionery trade more by chance when she started baking for her children in 2017 and attended courses. The positive response from her private environment motivated her to offer her first desserts via social media in 2018 - with growing success.
The small home-based business quickly developed into a growing business with increasing demand. Step by step, it took on staff and moved production from its own premises to a separate facility in 2023. As the business grew, so did its complexity - particularly in terms of administration and finances.
Imara specifically sought support from BPN, where she was initially challenged when drawing up the business plan and financial overview, but has already made valuable progress. In particular, the realization that she should focus on her core competence - high-quality confectionery - helped her to align herself more strategically.
Today, Imara plans to open additional points of sale with an integrated cafeteria, while production remains centralized. It wants to target a customer segment that appreciates quality and is prepared to pay a reasonable price for it. It also wants to further expand its expertise in marketing, personnel management and financial control. Thanks to BPN's practical support, it is in the process of laying the foundations for sustainable growth.
