Raquel is 42 years old, married to Camilo and mother of 6 children. She studied marketing and then gained sales experience in various companies. In 2016, she lost her job and used her severance pay to open a cake bakery in her own kitchen. This fulfilled her long-held wish to run her own business. Her husband, who has a talent for appealing decorations, supported her. While Camilo works in production, Raquel takes care of sales and administration - a division of labor that continues to this day.
Together, they invested the first profit in a larger oven and expanded the product range. Eventually, Raquel began selling her products to small corner stores. After the pandemic, the opportunity arose to rent a store in a shopping center. Since then, Raquel's business has grown steadily.
Thanks to BPN's support, she was able to make her financial planning more realistic and better define her goals with a clear business plan. BPN's support made her realize how important it is to have a clearly defined target segment for her customers. Raquel is continuously working on professionalizing her business and appreciates BPN's support. She is even planning to open a second sales outlet in a region that is suitable for her target group.
