Law Firm

Open

Álvaro M.

Even while he was still a student, he gained valuable experience in family law and deepened his expertise through ongoing professional development and a master’s degree. He later took on judicial responsibilities before deciding to strike out on his own, despite numerous uncertainties.

The early years of the firm were marked by financial challenges and a difficult economic environment. Initially, the firm focused on family law cases. Over time, however, its focus shifted increasingly toward business clients. Through targeted continuing education in corporate law, the firm developed into a trusted partner for real estate transactions, commercial contracts, and other legal matters involving businesses.

Today, the focus is no longer simply on survival, but rather on sustainable growth and a clear entrepreneurial direction. A high level of professional expertise, personal customer relationships, and a team culture based on mutual respect form the foundation for this.

Project description

Today, the law firm primarily assists companies with legal matters. Its areas of focus include real estate matters, commercial contracts, and comprehensive legal counsel for business clients. Depending on the client’s needs, the firm offers either monthly flat-rate fees or project-based fees. The firm has grown to five employees and is known for its personalized service and a team culture built on trust.

As the business grew, it became clear that, in addition to legal expertise, clear business management structures were also necessary. Álvaro found the right support at BPN. In particular, the introduction of financial tools helped him gain more control over the business, reduce uncertainties, and assess the value of his services more realistically. At the same time, he recognized how important fair wages are for retaining qualified employees in the long term.

Going forward, finances will be systematically managed using key performance indicators, sales activities will be professionalized, and internal processes will be documented. The goal is not to become the largest firm possible, but rather to build a law firm that grows sustainably with a small, high-performing, and personal team. BPN supports this journey with practical tools, strategic advice, and an honest, professional outside perspective.
