26-year-old Alia originally trained as an accountant. As her parents are business people and own a small guest house in Osh, Alia also wanted to become an entrepreneur. As a child, she enjoyed baking cakes and sometimes took orders from relatives to earn pocket money. This was her hobby, so she decided to make it her profession. Alia opened a small pastry shop in her private home, which she had received from her parents. Within 6 months, she invested in the necessary pastry equipment, which she bought from her own savings and the money she had already earned.
Alia decided to specialize in making cakes in various sizes, cakes, sweets and pastries for family celebrations and corporate events. As an additional source of income, Alia offers group courses in making celebration cakes and teaches young aspiring pastry chefs how to design and decorate cakes. In the last 3 years, Alia has trained more than 100 girls and even a chef. In the summer, during the long three-month vacation, Alia offers master classes for children.
Alia is active on social media and has posted her products and course videos there. In this way, she and her bakery have become well-known in Osh and have gained many regular customers. Alia would like to professionalize her pastry shop and dreams of opening her own small café in the future and giving her cakes a special (Kyrgyz) touch. She would also like to offer online courses and act as a mentor for beginners. Alia heard about the BPN seminar on financial management in Osh by chance and after attending the seminar decided to join the BPN training program to gain professional knowledge about business management and development.
