Willi recently visited various BPN program participants in Nicaragua - including entrepreneurs who have already successfully completed the training program. The desire of many participants for a seminar on values was particularly striking. The entrepreneurs would like to send their employees to BPN for training because they trust us in this matter and see us as a role model. This request was heard by Willi and is now being considered. However, the biggest challenge for the entrepreneurs remains the uncertain development of the country - Nicaragua remains exciting and challenging.
Among the companies we visited, Yulia was particularly memorable. Together with her husband, she runs one of the few companies in Nicaragua that offers psychiatric services. Due to the high demand, Yulia can barely cope with the flood of customer inquiries. Her conversation with Willi focused on topics such as distance and closeness in everyday working life and dealing with high workloads. Willi sees Yulia and her husband as small beacons of hope - their valuable offer has an enormous positive impact on the local population.

The current situation in Nicaragua was also discussed in depth. Country Director Adrian and Willi discussed possible additional requirements on the part of the state, the effects of which cannot yet be estimated.
An important personnel change has also affected the local team: The long-standing co-country manager Nadieska recently left BPN. Fortunately, the position was filled seamlessly. Carlos, another long-standing employee, has taken on the role of Country Manager. In view of the high emigration rate of many specialists in recent years, this is not a matter of course. We are grateful to have found such a good solution and look forward to working with Carlos in the future.
BPN remains active and attentive on the ground to support entrepreneurs like Yulia and to shape a positive future together.
