Gloria is a 28-year-old entrepreneur. While studying business administration and finance, she discovered her passion for creative problem solving - an interest that she turned into her first entrepreneurial steps in 2021: together with local tailors, she designed decorative cushions and successfully marketed them via social media. Determined to develop her skills further, she self-taught herself in woodworking - supported by online tutorials and observing experienced craftspeople.
This combination of commercial knowledge and practical expertise led to the founding of her interior design and furniture manufacturing company in 2022. With its own workshop and showroom in the upmarket district of Kigali, Gloria's company is now positioned as a provider of bespoke, innovative and sustainable furniture for hotels, resorts, restaurants, cafés and corporate clients. The focus is on functional, elegant products as a high-quality alternative to imported goods - "Made in Rwanda" with a clear signature.
Despite her success, Gloria faces challenges in the areas of financial management and strategic planning. She has joined the BPN program to structurally strengthen her company and future-proof it. There, she seeks targeted support in business management in order to make well-founded decisions and align her team with a common vision.
Her goal is ambitious: Within the next 5 years, she wants to be one of the top 3 furniture brands in Rwanda, with expanded production capacities and initial exports to Uganda and Kenya. With entrepreneurial vision and creative ambition, Gloria is consistently working on a regional success story in the field of interior design and furniture production.
