Workshop

Open

Donald M.

Donald has a background in chemistry and pharmacy and gained professional experience at a chemical plant and an import company. Even as a child, he gained insight into the family business and regularly helped out in the workshop.

After taking over the company, he drew on his experience as an importer to find new, more cost-effective suppliers and to procure specific machinery for the business. This combination of technical expertise, industry experience, and entrepreneurial thinking now forms an important foundation for the workshop’s continued development.

Project description

When the workshop was taken over, the goal was to professionally develop the existing business and expand it over the long term. Today, the company employs seven people and enjoys a good reputation among its customers. Customers particularly appreciate the honest advice, the reliable workmanship, and the one- to two-month warranty.

Through our collaboration with BPN, we have laid an important foundation for further growth. Improved financial management provides a clearer overview of our financial situation, while the vision outlined in the business plan serves as a guide for future decisions. There is a need for further development, particularly in the areas of customer understanding, marketing, and leadership.

In the future, the workshop is to be relocated to a larger and better-located site, with the aim of specifically targeting a more discerning customer segment. In the long term, the plan is to open three to four additional branches in other regions. In addition, the company is exploring the possibility of expanding its offerings to include services such as oil changes and tire service.
