Our business trip with 14 Mongolian female entrepreneurs was a complete success - inspiring, insightful and peppered with many personal encounters. Thanks to a carefully curated program, we were able to visit some of the most exciting and successful Swiss companies and immerse ourselves in their strategies, corporate cultures and processes.
Start with a geopolitical perspective in St. Gallen
The kick-off event took place at the renowned University of St. Gallen. Prof. Dr. Christoph Frei introduced us to the complex world of geopolitics with great expertise and vision - with a special focus on the role of Mongolia in the global context. It was an impressive start that gave us food for thought and sparked many conversations.
Long-term thinking at ISA Bodywear
In the afternoon, we continued on to ISA Bodywear in Amriswil - a family business that is now in its seventh generation. Managing Director Christian Sallmann impressed us with his clear strategy, long-term thinking and impressive company history. It became clear that success comes from values, consistency and passion.
Innovation meets tradition at Model Switzerland
Another highlight was the visit to Model Schweiz AG. COO Sarah Model guided us through the company with a great deal of passion and expertise and provided exciting insights into the past, present and future of the Model Group. We experienced how tradition and innovation go hand in hand - and were also treated to a delicious breakfast and lunch. This hospitality will remain unforgettable.
Sustainable agriculture at Vögeli's free-range eggs
The visit to Vögeli's free-range eggs was also impressive. Here we experienced at first hand what it means to manage 18,000 hens, produce fresh eggs every day and guarantee the highest quality. A family business that works with a great deal of commitment and love for nature - a true example of corporate responsibility.
Sweet ending with Maestrani chocolate
Finally, the trip took us to Maestrani AG in Flawil, where we immersed ourselves in the sweet world of chocolate. In addition to exciting insights into the production processes, there was also plenty of tasting - a worthy and delicious end to our intensive week.
Of course, there was no shortage of culinary delights throughout the trip: Swiss cheese, chocolate and many culinary highlights ensured a good atmosphere and full suitcases - so full that some participants had to buy extra pieces of luggage at the end.
Conclusion: entrepreneurial dialog at eye level
The week was characterized by learning, laughter and exchange - a wonderful example of how bridges are built between cultures and companies. Everyone returned with new ideas, contacts and plenty of inspiration - and with the firm intention of implementing what they had learned in Mongolia.
