The high level of interest shows impressively how great the need for practical know-how in the field of fundraising is. Above all, however, it showed us once again how many inspiring organizations there are in Mongolia that are passionate and dedicated to their causes.
We welcomed an impressive variety of local non-profit organizations that are dedicated to tackling a wide range of social and environmental challenges. Among them was a dentist who wants to teach dental care to nomads in Mongolia and an organization that creates educational and training opportunities for young adults with Down syndrome. A group of young people who are developing an innovative waste concept for Mongolian national parks and a doctor who provides special hearing aids and operations for hearing-impaired people also took part - to name just a few.
Even if the work of these organizations does not directly create jobs, it has an enormous positive impact on disadvantaged people and the protection of nature. That's why we made a conscious decision to give something back to the non-profit sector this time. A special thank you to our wonderful speaker Frida Wechsler from Dunekamp GmbH. With her expertise and energy, she decisively shaped and enriched the seminar.
The one-day seminar taught the participants the basics and most important instruments of fundraising. Immediately afterwards, we offered 2 further days of individual coaching sessions. All 6 available coaching slots were quickly filled, and both Frida Wechsler and Caroline Flück shared their knowledge with the interested organizations.
In fact, this event was an exception in the BPN program: We normally support small businesses in the profit sector. But when we were specifically asked by a local hospital for a fundraising seminar, we decided to take the opportunity and open the offer to all interested organizations in Ulaanbaatar.
