Strengthening leadership skills - think entrepreneurially, act effectively
Adrian Borter, Country Director Nicaragua at BPN, recently held his second seminar in Uganda - with a remarkable response. Many of the 18 participating entrepreneurs were attending for the second time. One of them said: "I have been praying for Adrian to come back - because the content is so crucial."
The three-day course focused on the topic of employee management - a key element of entrepreneurial impact. The participants were highly engaged throughout the seminar and put the content into practice with remarkable energy. The modules on personality analysis were particularly appreciated: How do you recognize strengths and weaknesses in a team? Which forms of communication are effective depending on personality? And what does this mean in concrete terms for recruitment, task allocation and management culture?
The accompanying coaching sessions also had an impact: "This coaching changes everything. Now I can see clearly - even if I have to fundamentally revise my business plan," was the feedback from one participant. Statements like these illustrate what BPN is all about: entrepreneurial know-how is not taught, but developed together - practically, individually and with tangible added value.
Such feedback is no exception for BPN, but confirmation of a model based on personal responsibility, quality and partnership-based development.
