Fast Food

Richard R.

The entrepreneur holds a Master of Business Administration and brings experience in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship. Richard had long harbored the desire to open his own restaurant one day. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, he began making burgers at home—first just for himself, and later for friends as well. Thanks to word of mouth, demand grew rapidly, and step by step, his home kitchen evolved into a professional restaurant business.

His business idea stemmed from a desire to address common shortcomings in the local restaurant scene in a different way. Instead of an extensive menu, he deliberately focuses on a small, straightforward selection—currently consisting of six burger varieties—as well as personalized and uncomplicated service. He has since left his previous job to devote himself entirely to building and growing his business.

Project description

The company operates a delivery-focused food service concept and prepares its burgers in its own kitchen in Kigali. Orders are placed digitally via WhatsApp, making the ordering process simple and personalized. The focus is on fresh ingredients, consistent quality, fast service, and a hassle-free customer experience.

In the long term, the entrepreneur aims to build a gourmet burger chain developed in Rwanda that is entirely focused on delivery. To achieve this, operational processes will be further professionalized, a sustainably profitable business model will be established, and new locations will be gradually opened.

An important prerequisite for continued growth is improving financial management and gaining a more accurate understanding of actual production costs. BPN helps entrepreneurs optimize their business processes, build their financial and strategic capabilities, and develop a scalable business model for sustainable growth.
