Odylle is a mother of 2 children and lives with her family in Kigali. Even as a child, she loved to cook - a passion she inherited from her mother. Although she initially tried her hand at careers in areas such as art, styling and marketing, she never really found fulfillment. When her job was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, she returned to the kitchen - not just as a distraction, but to regain strength and control.
With the help of online tutorials, she honed her skills and began sharing her baking creations on social media. It wasn't long before she received her first orders. Her breakthrough came when she brought a cake to work for her colleagues. The feedback was so positive that new orders immediately followed. Soon she was baking every day in her small home kitchen.
After a health-related break, Odylle 2023 started with renewed vigor. She set up a small showroom and a simple but functional bakery, hired employees and restructured the processes. She gave up her marketing job - since then, her focus has been entirely on creative dessert tables for weddings and events.
Today, she employs 5 people and plans to expand the business further: with high-quality desserts for corporate events, conferences and coffee breaks - and with the aim of becoming the leading address for desserts in Rwanda. By participating in the BPN program, she wants to develop an even clearer strategic direction in order to grow sustainably and professionally.
