Coffee cultivation and production

Immaculée M.

Immaculée grew up in a family of coffee farmers and helped out in the business from a young age. It was clear to her early on that she would join the family business. And that's exactly what she did after finishing school, together with her sister. Her parents withdrew from the business some time ago. At this point, Immaculée and her sister decided not only to grow coffee, but also to build up the entire coffee process. In 2013, they added a coffee washing station, a roasting plant and machines for further processing and packaging. This made the company more efficient and independent.

However, when she took over the business, Immaculée realized that some processes were progressing very slowly. As she felt that she did not have enough business management knowledge, she decided to take further training. That's why she turned to us.

Project description

Immaculée would like to simplify the processes and structures in the company and make them more efficient. It also plans to introduce its own cupping laboratory to ensure the quality of the coffee. Until now, this step has been carried out abroad by sending the sample. With its own laboratory, the time required for this could be considerably reduced. Immaculée is already involving her two adult children in the management of the business.

Immaculée is a passionate coffee farmer and entrepreneur. She and her family work hard to grow their business sustainably. Her entrepreneurial spirit combined with the BPN program will enable her to successfully develop the business.
