Project description

Banana wine is a traditional drink in Rwanda. It is used in ceremonies as well as being drunk like a normal "after-work beer". As a banana wine producer, Emmanuel wants to make a difference in his industry.

His entrepreneurial journey began in 2007 when he decided to set up his own construction company. This venture failed due to fierce competition. In 2012, he opened a bar in Kigali. In doing so, he realized that the sales figures for banana wine were very high. He decided to produce his own wine and sell it in his bar.

The father of the family taught himself how to produce them. He learned how to preserve the drinks from a friend. Sales of his own production began to increase very quickly, which is why Emmanuel gave up the bar to concentrate on production. His customers include retailers and bars.
