Gunjjalam, 57 years old, can look back on a varied professional career. After training as a saleswoman, she worked in state-owned trading companies until 2000 before taking the plunge into self-employment. In 2007, she founded her own company with 2 business divisions - a wood processing company and a bakery. While she successfully sold the woodworking business in 2022, she is now passionately dedicated to running her bakery.

Project description

The bakery is located in the remote village of Ikh-Uul in the province of Zavkhan, around 800 kilometers from the capital. Gunjjalam built up her bakery on her own initiative and currently employs 3 people. She produces different types of bread such as wholemeal and milk bread as well as 2 types of pastries - all baked without additives and with sourdough. The high quality and naturalness of their products make them particularly popular with customers. In addition to their own store, their products are also sold in 2 other stores.

With a clear vision in mind, Gunjjalam plans to expand its range and cater to individual customer wishes. The aim is to also supply surrounding villages in order to increase her reach and create new jobs in a structurally weak region. She receives support from BPN, where she attends coaching sessions and seminars - an important contribution to the sustainable development of her business.
