Maia is 54 years old and an accountant by profession. She turned her passion for confectionery, especially for making chocolates, into a successful business two years ago. Maia had been experimenting with chocolate creations in her spare time for years. The decisive turning point came when Maia attended a course on making truffle chocolates. Among other things, she learned how to make cheese truffles - an unusual but exciting combination. Inspired by this course, Maia decided to share her talent not only with her family, but also with a wider audience and turn her sweet passion into a business.
Today, Maia makes truffle chocolates with caramel, almond, cheese, liqueur, cherry and passion fruit fillings in her own patisserie, which she sells via her Facebook page and website. Maia attaches great importance to ensuring that her chocolate creations bring joy - a message that she also actively spreads in her communication via social media. She wants her customers to buy the chocolate as a gift to make their loved ones happy.
To further expand her business, Maia regularly takes part in local markets and exhibitions to present her products and gain new customers. At the moment, she is still producing in her own kitchen at home, but she dreams of renting her own production space soon. Her ultimate goal is to open her own store with an adjoining café where her customers can taste her chocolate creations on the spot.
Maia is also a very committed BPN program participant. Since attending the business plan workshop in February 2023, she has hardly missed a seminar or event organized by the business owners' association . Her goal is to optimize her company with professional business know-how and to grow step by step with the support of BPN.
