Soap production

Sasa B.

Sasa stumbled across the idea of making soaps by chance. When one of his teenage children developed rashes, he was looking for a natural product to counteract the problem. He spent months gathering all kinds of information about soap making, making soap molds and cutting equipment himself and experimenting with all kinds of recipes. Until he finally managed to successfully treat his child's rash. Encouraged by the initial positive results, Sasa collected a wide variety of plants and flowers and created new soap recipes. The spark was passed on to the rest of the family, who from then on supported the production and marketing of the soaps.

Project description

The pandemic was a challenging time for Sasa. With the slump in international tourism, sales fell, so Sasa temporarily moved to the countryside with his family. But he also made productive use of this window of opportunity by tinkering with new recipes and growing plants for soap production on the grounds of his country house.

After returning to Tibilisi, Sasa began sharing his knowledge with others by becoming the first Georgian ever to develop a course in soap making. With the support of BPN, Sasa's hobby will now definitely become a professional business. Sasa has plans to open his own showroom and laboratory and to expand his product range. At the same time, new sales channels are to be opened up through cooperation with hotels, aesthetics centers, pharmacies and spas. Sasa has already made active use of the BPN coaching offer and has already attended her first seminars.
