Since 2007, Gocha and his family have been running a travel agency and hotel in Zhenako, a mountain village at 2,080 meters above sea level on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus. Like most Tushetian villages, Shenako is only inhabited in the summer months from mid-June to the beginning of October, when the shepherds drive their flocks to the alpine meadows.
During this time, Gocha offers his customers catering and accommodation in his own hotel with 6 rooms. He also offers tours to introduce his visitors to the traditions, history and delicacies of his homeland. Gocha's regular customers are primarily middle-class Georgian families looking for fresh air and relaxation in the mountains.
