Digital presence as a foundation
With the successful launch of the new website www.bpn.ug , BPN Uganda now has a central digital platform. It forms the heart of external communication, strengthens institutional visibility, and provides a reliable source of information for potential program participants, partner organizations, and other stakeholders. The website is thus an important milestone in establishing a local presence and a strategic tool for reaching entrepreneurs in a targeted manner.
Training courses, workshops, and coaching sessions: Developing entrepreneurial skills
In 2025, three seminars and four workshops were successfully held, with a total of 72 entrepreneurs participating. In addition, 32 individual coaching sessions took place, which enabled participants to deepen their understanding of the content and were tailored to the specific challenges of the individual companies.
In terms of content, the formats focused on key entrepreneurial skills:
- Development of structured business plans
- Market and marketing strategies
- Fundamentals of human resource management
- financial planning
These priorities also form the foundation for sustainable growth and professional corporate management in our new BPN country.
Hybrid approach to participant recruitment
The search for and selection of new program participants is deliberately carried out using a hybrid approach. In addition to targeted online activities, emphasis is also placed on personal contact on site and traditional, relationship-oriented sales methods. This approach takes local market conditions into account and enables the high-quality selection of suitable entrepreneurs as a key success factor for the effectiveness of the program.
Successful networking event at the end of the year
A particular highlight was the end-of-year networking event, which was attended by over 30 people. The mix of existing program participants and external entrepreneurs led to lively exchanges and valuable new contacts. The event was very well received and not only strengthened the visibility of BPN Uganda, but also served as a platform for potential new participants. This created concrete starting points for the program launch in the following year and a basis for further expansion of the participant pipeline.
Outlook: Finalization of business plans and network development
In the coming months, the focus will be on finalizing the business plans of the first cohort and officially accepting the entrepreneurs into the BPN program. At the same time, the network will continue to be expanded—both through personal contacts and an increased presence on social media. The goal is to establish BPN Uganda as a reliable partner for entrepreneurial development in the country in the long term.
