Fashion design

Olivier T.

At the age of 26, Olivier left university after studying medicine for just one year. Olivier realized that his true passion since childhood lay elsewhere. This inner calling and his passion for creative expression led Olivier to leave medicine and move into the fashion industry. Olivier joined a nearby creative center to connect with other artists and use the space for his work. During this time, Olivier worked hard and saved half of his income. After 3 years, he finally took the plunge into self-employment and found his own space. In 2019, he opened his own fashion store.

Project description

Olivier's main target group is middle-class customers, both men and women, who are interested in casual and streetwear. In the beginning, Olivier was solely responsible for designing, tailoring and delivering the clothes. As his business grew rapidly, he took on his first employees. This allowed Olivier to focus more on his creativity and create unique designs while his team took over the tailoring.

Olivier still lacks experience in the business world and wants to develop the skills he needs to succeed as an entrepreneur. Olivier's goal is to promote sustainable fashion and responsible consumption through modern clothing designs that reflect African traditions. The company wants to give Africans and people who love Africa the opportunity to express their love and pride for the continent through their clothing.

Olivier also wants to create jobs for disadvantaged communities by training and employing teenage mothers in tailoring. Olivier believes that a business grows through strategic work and not just money. That's why he chose the BPN program and wants to learn how to plan his business better.
