Bella is a determined and passionate entrepreneur. She is committed to revolutionizing Rwandan women's awareness of their natural hair by developing natural hair care products. During the 2020 pandemic, Bella was unable to go to a hair salon to straighten her hair, which inspired her to embrace her natural hair. However, this path was not free of obstacles. Bella had various problems taming her frizzy hair and tried different products in hopes of finding a solution. Driven by her personal experiences and the awareness that many other people struggle with similar problems, Bella began to develop natural hair care products for afro-textured hair and, after intensive research, began producing her own care products.
At home, Bella created her first hair care products. She tested them on her own hair and noticed a noticeable change. She then distributed the products to family and friends, who became her first customers and praised the transformative effect of the products. Since then, Bella's business has grown and now operates a rented production facility with 3 rooms. Her customers are mainly middle and upper class women who appreciate the chemical free and high quality approach to hair care. Currently, Bella sells her products online via Instagram and an e-commerce website. In the near future, she plans to collaborate with various beauty salons that will resell the products to end consumers. Bella's vision is to develop a complete wash and style kit for African hair and run her own hair salons.
Bella is currently studying business administration. She made this decision 1 year after starting her business to learn how to run a business effectively. She is looking forward to participating in the BPN program and is convinced that it will help her to run and grow her business professionally.
