Liliane witnessed the harsh reality faced by girls, particularly in rural areas of Rwanda, who do not have access to or cannot afford suitable menstrual products. Even those who can afford sanitary pads sometimes do not have access to these products, causing them to miss classes for fear of soiling their clothes and feeling ashamed. Liliane also understands the needs of corporate women who spend a lot of time sitting down and therefore need healthy and practical menstrual products that are particularly absorbent and comfortable to wear. Liliane is an entrepreneur who has made it her mission to combat the lack of feminine hygiene products in Rwanda. She has been producing sanitary towels with her company since 2020. With a Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Health Sciences and professional experience in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector, Liliane has the ideal backpack for her business.
