Educational games

Marie Grace I.

Marie Grace is a passionate visionary dedicated to the challenge of bridging cultural divides and creating authentic connections between people and places in Africa. She loves games and traveling. As the daughter of parents who moved to Rwanda from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Marie Grace felt alienated from her extended family. This led her to delve deeply into her family history and cultural roots.

During an accelerator bootcamp, she realized that the need for deep connection went far beyond her personal history. She recognized a lack of authentic encounters between people of different cultures and a deeper engagement with African traditions and places. From this realization, Marie Grace founded a company that promotes cultural encounters through cards, puzzles and video games.

Project description

With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Marie Grace has a solid foundation for her entrepreneurial ambitions. Before starting her business, she gained valuable experience in a travel company where she excelled in developing interactive and fun experiences. Her products are aimed at hotels, tourists and educational institutions that want to promote understanding of other cultures. Marie Grace designs the playing cards herself, which are produced in Uganda due to the better printing infrastructure.

Her long-term dream is to transform her company into a technology-based game developer that promotes learning about African cultures and exploring different places. Driven by a deep passion, Marie Grace strives to build bridges between people, cultures and traditions.
