Cleaning products

Rosie K.

Rosie, 38, is a mother of three and has a bachelor's degree in sociology. Inspired by the great need and high cost of imported cleaning products, Rosie founded a company that produces liquid soap for various cleaning purposes in households, hotels, restaurants and hospitals. In addition, Rosie founded a second company that provides cleaning services for various companies and institutions that award contracts through official tenders.

Project description

Rosie realized that she could produce more cleaning products herself instead of sourcing them from wholesalers. To facilitate production and distribution, she plans to hire five more employees, buy a vehicle for delivery and introduce liquid detergents. For cost reasons, their products do not yet contain any flavorings. However, the lack of fragrance does not affect the quality of the products. Her vision for the next five years is for her company to open branches in five districts of Rwanda to make it easier for customers to access affordable liquid soap. In the longer term, Rosie wants to become the first manufacturer of air fresheners and perfumes in Rwanda.

At BPN, Rosie is particularly interested in the areas of "employee management", "financial management" and "corporate management" and wants to optimize internal processes. Rosie is motivated to keep learning and likes to challenge herself to move the company forward. She expects BPN to equip her with the skills she needs to run a sustainable business that creates jobs and contributes to the promotion of hygiene in the community.
