Project description

Soumaya has a bachelor's degree in business administration. Seamlessly following her studies, she found a job at a local bank. After just one year, however, she realized that she wanted to do something more meaningful and quit her job. "It wasn't an easy decision at the time. The unemployment rate was very high at the time," said Soumaya. She decided to set up a water treatment company in rural Bugesera, one of the driest areas where people need and drink a lot of water.

Her customers are various retailers. But she has also built up an important network in neighboring Tanzania, where she has a few customers. The number of customers is increasing day by day, which is very motivating for the young businesswoman. For her, this means that people are drinking more clean water and living healthier lives as a result.

Soumaya is aware that her company and her brand need time to really gain a foothold. However, she wants her company to become better known on a national and international level.
