At 34, Maria can look back on a remarkable entrepreneurial journey. After studying finance, she started her career at a bank, where she gained valuable experience in dealing with numbers and structures. However, a work assignment in Panama proved to be a turning point: there she discovered a diverse range of specialized products for curly hair, a concept that appealed to her personally and that she missed in her home country of Nicaragua.
Back in Nicaragua, she began importing selected products for her own use in 2020. This unexpectedly led to a business idea: a producer offered her the opportunity to take over distribution. She built up her presence on social media and quickly gained enthusiastic customers. Demand grew, and soon her community wanted not only to buy products, but also to receive professional advice and guidance on how to use them. She responded flexibly, producing videos and offering personal consultations.
