Saddlery

Booked

Guimen P.

Guimen is a passionate doer who learned to take responsibility at an early age. He has been working since he was eleven years old, gaining practical experience in a wide variety of areas and continuing his education - even without a formal qualification. After working for telephone companies and in the call center sector, he discovered his enthusiasm for saddlery in El Salvador in 2016, particularly in dealing with furniture and quality-oriented processes.

In 2019, he took the plunge into self-employment and opened his own saddlery business in Nicaragua - financed from his own savings. In the midst of the pandemic, he successfully used social media to attract customers and made a name for himself by manufacturing and restoring armchairs and gamer chairs. With growing orders and increasing quality demands, he began to build a small team, but managing it brought new challenges. He now has more reliable staff, whom he trains carefully to ensure his high quality standards.

Project description

Today, Guimen is particularly in demand in the nautical sector - his work for boats is valued by wealthy customers for its precision and durability. In the future, he would like to expand his range: create his own pieces of furniture, process genuine leather and also specialize in the restoration of car seats. The planned move to a larger workshop will provide space for this growth. At BPN, he found practical support in areas such as marketing, sales, finance and employee management - and is already benefiting noticeably from the clear structures and tools that are helping him to develop his company in a targeted manner.
