Sewing & embroidery

Jaime M.

Jaime says that he always had big dreams and wanted to run his own business. He was already selling things to his classmates at school and from the 5th grade he worked as an assistant on a truck, later as a driver and then moved to the free trade zone as an assistant in the warehouse. As he did a good job, he was promoted to the sales office area. His supervisor treated his coworkers poorly when a customer asked Jaime, "Why don't you make these products yourself?" In 2016, Jamie finally decided to make and sell the products, gun holsters and clothing, himself and take the plunge into self-employment. This step was made easier by the fact that he had a first customer who was prepared to pay for the order in advance.

Project description

Together with his wife, Jamie began manufacturing plastic gun holders. They were successful and grew steadily. They invested the profits in the company again and again. In 2018, they also started offering uniforms. With the growth, Jamie realized he needed to work in a more structured and orderly way and turned to BPN. He realized that he had customers he was working for at a loss and is now in the process of working in a more focused way with the help of BPN and finding more customers who are willing to pay for his good quality. In the future, Jaime would like to expand his infrastructure and offer screen printing as well as embroidery. He would also like to buy the raw material directly and sell it to other sewing companies.
