Mirna H.

Mirna can look back on a varied professional life. She studied industrial engineering and then worked in her father's law firm before taking a job at the social welfare office. Unfortunately, she lost that job due to the unrest of 2018. Before this turn in her professional life, she and her husband had already been selling "chainfaina," a traditional Nicaraguan specialty made from pork head meat. After losing her job, she and her husband decided to start their own business and buy a food truck. The two positioned it perfectly on the main street of Esteli. Their offer, based mainly on pork, was quickly well received.

Project description

As the popularity and business grew, they rented a small store around the corner from Mirna's grandmother, where they now run a cozy restaurant and grill. During this period of growth, Mirna and her husband recognized the need for administrative support and turned to BPN. After drawing up a business plan, they realized where there was room for improvement. The opportunity to get a clear view of their finances through BPN was like a wake-up call.

Mirna realized that she had to take action in order to remain profitable in the long term. For the future, she plans to improve and expand her infrastructure and, in addition to selling meals, also sell meat and spices, ideally also in supermarkets. She would like to expand her range to include chicken and beef in order to retain her regular customers and ideally encourage daily visits.
