Home textiles

Delgermurun S.

After studying economics and finance, Delgermurun worked as an employee in the social insurance sector and as a manager. She then worked for several years in South Korea as a warehouse and packaging employee. Back in Mongolia, she regularly visited the Naran Tuul market in Ulaanbaatar, which mainly sells goods made by and for locals, including bed linen and mattress covers. One day, Delgermurun thought: "I can do better than that." As a result, she founded her own company 10 years ago and started her own business.

Project description

Delgermurun specializes in home textiles such as bed linen, mattress covers, table runners, bedspreads, pillowcases, bath towels, etc. Her clientele includes both private and business customers, with mainly women buying her products, who appreciate beautiful design and good quality without linting. They also look for good value for money. Delgermurun's business customers include restaurants, event halls and lounges, some of which are in the luxury segment. She sells most of her products in around 40 supermarkets in Ulaanbaatar. She sells the rest in the countryside.

Delgermurun is recognized in the market. To further strengthen its position, it wants to expand its range by introducing camel wool blankets and sleeping bags to attract new customers and increase sales. We got to know Delgermurun as a person who has drive and ideas for the future. She involves her son Bilguun in the business, who is in charge of machinery, technology and IT and is seen as a potential successor for the management.
