Gulzat is 38 years old. She was born and raised in Bishkek, where she graduated in psychology. In 2017, during the economic crisis, she completed a manicure course and training as a podiatrist in Bishkek. After she and her husband had to move to Osh in 2018 for work reasons, she decided to start her own business. Gulzat started working from home and then rented a room for her practice. Gulzat built up a good reputation with her customers because she puts her heart into her work and pays particular attention to hygiene. With the help of a loan, she bought a professional podiatry chair and other special equipment and tools.

Project description

Gulzat currently has one full-time beautician and administrative assistant. She also rents out 3 workstations/chairs to other beauticians. Gulzat currently only has one podiatry competitor in Osh. But she believes that the competition will grow. She is therefore planning to rent better-located premises in 2023. Her vision is to have her own building with the largest podiatry center in the region. She wants to gain a reputation as the No. 1 center in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan. To achieve this, she plans to offer more services and open a branch in the neighboring city of Jalalabad. She is also aiming for an internship in Europe, wants to buy more chairs and train new staff - she has her eye on orphans in particular. In future, she would also like to acquire customers from nearby countries.

Gulzat has already attended 3 BPN basic seminars. The marketing seminar gave her her first new impetus: she has now applied her logo to many new tools. She is already looking forward to the next seminars.

Loan: Gulzat has applied for a loan of USD 17,000 from BPN for the purchase of equipment and the expansion of her company.
