Although Maksim has a university degree in architecture, he has been working in the production of leather goods for many years. Together with his business partner Alexei, an experienced specialist in the field of shoemaking and dry cleaning of shoes, he founded his own company last year. Maksim offers shoe reconditioning, which includes chemical cleaning and repair work. Today, the company is based in a small room in a well-located business center in Bishkek. While Maksim is more concerned with entrepreneurial matters in addition to practical work, Alexei's focus is more on the operational level. The young company is already enjoying good demand and regular customers.

Project description

The dry cleaning of shoes is currently done by hand. However, Maksim is planning to automate this service and even offer a collection and delivery service for this area in the future. He is also planning to produce his own cleaning products from sustainable raw materials. The development of orthopaedic insoles and the opening of two branches in Bishkek offer further prospects.

By participating in the BPN program, Maksim hopes to expand his entrepreneurial and business management skills and thereby promote the successful development of his company. During his visits to BPN, Maksim will also meet his wife Olga: As a room attendant, she has been a highly valued team member at BPN Kyrgyzstan for several years.
