Shalva is a very hard-working and intelligent entrepreneur who runs a cabinetmaking business together with his father. Originally, the company imported furniture from abroad, but over time it built up its own production. Shalva, who studied International Relations and Education Management, only joined the family business a few years ago. In addition to order acquisition and classic management tasks, Shalva also works practically in the workshop and assists with assembly work. Shalva's family comes from South Ossetia and had their own business there until the war and expulsion in 2008.
While Shalva's father is more of a "craftsman" and is mainly concerned with getting enough orders, Shalva thinks entrepreneurially and wants to turn the business into an established brand and expand it in the long term. For this reason, he signed up for the BPN program in order to gain impetus for the further development of his company through the exchange of experience and external opinions.
At the moment, Shalva's company has enough orders, but is not specialized in a particular customer segment and has not clearly defined what its main product is. Shalva and his team produce almost anything their customers order: from small bookshelves to kitchen and office furniture. They have rented a production space, some machines and employ 5 people. With these resources, they try to fulfill all their customers' wishes. Their aim is to purchase more machines in order to become less dependent on external service providers. Currently, some work, such as the cutting of panels, is carried out by other companies, which leads to higher costs and delays in delivery. For this reason, Shalva is planning to purchase its own sliding table saw and edge banding machine in the medium term.
In addition, Shalva's joinery is represented in the nationally renowned furniture center "Saba" and thus has a loyal customer base.
